We’ve compiled a list of restaurants that serve meals and snacks that will both fill your bellies and help you refuel for the next adventure.

Seedz is a local’s favorite for breakfast and lunch serving up hearty and healthy options that include gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian dishes. Their mission is to serve “great tasting, eco-friendly options for breakfast and lunch,” and many of their ingredients are locally sourced and organic. Some all-time favorite options here are the Caribbean Mango Curry Shrimp Bowl, Huevos Rancheros, and the Veg Head stuffed baguette sandwich. If you can’t get enough of Seedz, you will also love their sister restaurant, Rootz. 


Rootz’s motto is “feed your mind, body, & spirit” which is exactly what they do in their health-minded cafe. The eclectic space is filled with colorful lounge chairs, brightly painted walls, worldly art, and chalkboards adorned with their latest specials and classic menu items. Salt & Lime serves up some of the best street tacos in all of Steamboat. We are very aware that tacos don’t typically fall into the “health food” category, but Salt & Lime makes it easy to get your nutrition as well as enjoy a hearty meal. With options like cauliflower hash with cashew salsa, veggie fundido, or with fresh juices and natural ingredients in all of their handcrafted cocktails, this is a guilt-free way to enjoy some seriously good Mexican food.  


Joose is the perfect place for people who crave ultra-healthy snacks and meals. Joose specializes in cold-pressed juices and you can purchase their range of products that promote energies like Joy, Transformation, and Fierce Independence. They also serve more hearty options like house-made soups, salads, and desserts. The Curry Quinoa Salad here is a must-try!
